About the program

Living independently often involves personal diversified support, and just as important, the joy of belonging to a vibrant, supportive community. Tené provides people with disabilities who live independently in the community a flexible and personalized support system, set together with each participant in order to meet one's unique needs. Moreover, the program also encourages social connection through shared activities and peer-led community life.

What does the program include?

  • Individual guidance in focused fields according to the participant, such as budgeting, social relationships, rights advocacy, self-management, leisure, employment and more.
  • Group and community gatherings designed and led by the participants , focused on enrichment and social connection.
  • Access to a team of professionals including emotional therapists, a psychiatrist, speech therapist, and others.
  • Emergency phone support during nights and weekends.

Where does the Program take place?

Tené currently operates in three communities: Kiryat Shmona, Haifa and surrounding areas Hof HaCarmel–Menashe region. Personal guidance is provided either at the participant's home, in our local offices or in public surroundings, depending on the individual’s preference and needs.

Who is the program for?

né is designed for adults with disabilities who live, or wish to live, independently in the community.
The program is available privately, with no need for government referral. Cost: 1,900 NIS/month.

For individuals recognized by the Disability Services Division (Minhal Mugbaluyot) of the Ministry of Welfare, there is also an option to join “Supported Housing” under State funding and supervision of the Ministry of Welfare. (With a participant co-pay of 200 NIS/month; limited availability.)
